BEAR Scotland has advised that resurfacing works at the Raigmore Interchange on the A9 will continue until 23rd July, affecting access routes into Inverness.
The works will take place overnight between 7.30pm and 6am, with closures and traffic management in place.
Restrictions will include closures on sections of the A9 interchange, Raigmore roundabout, and Milburn Road, with a convoy system operating on the A96 for some traffic approaching from the east.
Signed diversion routes will be in place, and drivers are advised to follow these rather than relying on SatNav systems.
Ullapool Bookshop’s next author event will feature Highland crime writer G. H. Halliday, author of From the Shadows, the novel that inspired the new ITV drama The Dark.
In conversation with bookshop manager Katharine Douglas, Gareth will discuss his crime novels - set in the landscapes of Wester Ross, the inspiration behind his writing - and the process of seeing his work adapted for television.
He’ll also reveal what’s next for him as an author.

In the weekend football both Ross County and Inverness Caley Thistle won their matches in the group stage of the Premier Sports Scottish League Cup on Saturday.
County won its home game against Clyde three one having been two nil up after just five minutes while Caley Thistle travelled to Linlithgow and beat Linlithgow Rose two nil.
The next matches for both clubs are tomorrow evening, when County plays Dundee while Caley Thistle host St Johnstone.
