The Great Wilderness Challenge 2026

We need you!

 

Great Wilderness Challenge 40th Anniversary on Saturday 15th August 2026 

We’re looking for walkers and runners to join Team Radio Wester Ross for this year’s GWC 40th anniversary.

You’ll still be supporting Highland Hospice and the GWC, while also helping raise funds for Radio Wester Ross.

This year we’re offering each person:

✅ FREE entry - We’ll cover your £25 place
✅ A dedicated JustGiving page
✅ Traditional sponsor forms
✅ Station support through on-air mentions & social media promotion
✅ Radio Wester Ross branded T-shirt or baseball cap as a thank you gift

Fundraising is more flexible this year too, as sponsorship can take place as raffles, bake sales, quiz nights, and lots more – it's entirely up to you.

The 25-mile route is already full, but there are still 11, 7 and 3-mile walk/run options available.

⭐ With this being the 40th anniversary year, and potentially our final year entering a team, we’d love to make it our biggest and best yet.
