The National Trust for Scotland is looking to employ a Ranger to cover its landscape at Corrieshalloch and Inverewe patrolling the busy car park, walking trails and pinch points such as Fowlers bridge which has a capacity of 6 people. The successful applicant will require to act as an ambassador for the National Trust for Scotland, building awareness and support among visitors to its sites. 

Applications for the job which is full time, 40 hours per week, require to be lodged by the closing date of Sunday 21st June.


Highland Council’s north planning committee has approved amended plans for the development of a greenland site at North Kessock between the Charleston roundabout and the A9.

Plans for a development with an electric car charging hub containing fifteen charging bays and one food outlet had previously been approved and have now been amended to include twelve charging bays, three food outlets and some shops. The developer of the site has previously claimed that up to one hundred jobs will be created.


A 31 year old Edinburgh man driving a white BMW has admitted driving dangerously and at excessive speed on the A835 road between Contin and Garve on October 14th last year while being more than four times over the drug driving limit. 

The driver overtook other drivers when it was unsafe to do so, failed to comply with a red traffic signal, had overtaken another vehicle and crossed a solid white line causing an oncoming vehicle to brake to avoid a collision. The case was deferred to July 9th and an interim driving ban was issued while sentence is awaited.
