Dundonnell Mountain Rescue carried out a successful rescue on Tuesday in difficult conditions. A walker had been out for around 22 hours in very bad weather and became very wet and cold.
He was able to describe his location using his mobile phone and the team was able to identify that he was high up in Glen Douchary, between Invershin and Ullapool. The mountain rescue team was able to find the walker after a few hours, to treat him for mild hypothermia and assist him back to East Rhidorroch.
Like other mountain rescue teams, the Dundonnell Team is on call 24-hours a day, 365 days a year and relies on donations to carry out lifesaving work. Donations are always gratefully received via its website.
