In a statement released last evening, Inverness Caledonian Thistle confirmed that they have officially gone into administration.

As a result, the club have been deducted 15 points and have dropped to the bottom of League One. They are now 12 points behind ninth place Dumbarton.

BDO have been formally appointed administrators of the club.  They will be in a position to provide further information and their plan to secure the long-term future of the club in due course.

One point eight million pounds has been provided by The National Lottery Heritage Fund for a new conservation project. 

A recent survey showed that across the one hundred and twenty-five thousand kilometres of rivers and streams in Scotland, only 13 percent of riverside habitats are in good condition - leading to a decline in wildlife such as Atlantic salmon, brown trout, and freshwater pearl mussel.

Alongside delivering practical conservation work, The Riverwoods Blueprint Project aims to reconnect communities across Scotland with their river woodlands.

Police Scotland are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in the centre of Tain on Saturday.

The incident took place around 9.15 pm near to The Railway Hotel in Castle Brae.
