The first details of the acts which will perform at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival 2026 have been released.

Among the acts appearing will be The Human league, James, Callum Beattie, Mika, and Razorlight and numerous others including Trail West, Nathan Carter and Torridon. 

Over 200 acts are still to be announced for the Festival which will take place from Thursday 30th July to Saturday 1st August next year and which will have over 100 free family friendly activities for all ages. Tickets are already on sale. 


The funeral of Stephen Calvert late of First Coast will take place tomorrow, Thursday, at Lochewe Community Church, Aultbea at 11am and thereafter to Mellon Charles cemetery. Everyone will be welcome.

Stephen was brought up in Laide and attended Bualnaluib Primary School then Gairloch High School. Latterly he was living in Forres and running his own joinery business. He was 40 years old and died on 20th November in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after a short illness. Steven leaves behind his son, Hamish.

Roadworks currently being carried out on the Cromarty Bridge are taking longer to complete than anticipated and further necessary concrete repairs have been identified. It is now expected that the works will be completed in February next year.

Temporary traffic lights will remain in use from 7pm till 6am on Monday to Friday and for 24 hours a day at weekends with a 30mph speed restriction in place till the works are complete.

Up to 100 businesses, social enterprises and community organisations across the Highlands and Islands are being offered free expert support to get their climate credentials in place. 

Highlands and Islands Enterprise is partnering with Edinburgh Climate Change Institute to roll out the successful climate springboard training programme to businesses and charities in the region. The six week online programme helps organisations calculate their current carbon emissions, create a practical plan to reach net zero by 2045 and identify immediate steps to reduce emissions and costs.

The programme will be run in group workshops starting next Tuesday 2nd December with further details on the HIE website.
