The funding marks the first step toward transforming the site into a community-owned and managed business park, designed to provide affordable, high-quality rental space for local businesses, entrepreneurs, and start-ups which LECE say will deliver long term benefits for the local economy. LECE now plans to launch the first stage of a Community Share Offer, which will establish the foundation of membership and will hold its first Annual General Meeting. It is keen to welcome more people from across the community to join the management team, in order to ensure strong, representative governance for the future.
